About the Company

Our client is an international digital asset trading platform providing API‑based trading infrastructure to professional and institutional market participants across global markets.

The company operates in a high‑performance trading environment, supporting liquidity providers, brokers, and proprietary trading firms through scalable, technology‑driven solutions.

The Role

We are looking for an Institutional Business Development Manager to grow and manage institutional trading relationships in the APAC region, with a strong focus on API‑based trading activity.

This role combines commercial ownership, institutional coverage, and close collaboration with technical and product teams, supporting sophisticated trading counterparts.

What You’ll Do

• Identify, onboard, and grow institutional trading clients operating via APIs, including:

  • Market makers

  • HFT and quantitative trading firms

  • Brokers and professional trading desks

• Own the end‑to‑end business development lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation through onboarding and ongoing relationship management

• Drive key performance metrics, including:

  • New institutional client acquisition

  • API trading volume

  • Revenue growth

• Work closely with institutional clients to understand:

  • Trading strategies

  • Execution requirements

  • Infrastructure and connectivity needs

• Act as a commercial point of contact for API clients, coordinating with internal product, engineering, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve trading experience

• Monitor API trading market trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to support regional strategy and product optimisation

• Contribute to APAC regional targets in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• 3+ years of experience in business development, institutional sales, or coverage within:

  • Digital asset trading platforms

  • Financial institutions

  • Trading firms or market‑making environments

  • Fintech or trading infrastructure providers

• Proven experience working with institutional or professional trading clients, such as:

  • Market makers

  • HFT / quantitative trading firms

  • Brokers or proprietary trading desks

• Solid understanding of:

  • Crypto or electronic trading markets

  • API trading workflows (REST / WebSocket)

  • Institutional execution and market structure

• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and problem‑solving skills

• Results‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships

• Professional working proficiency in English

• Japanese is a strong advantage; additional Asian languages are a plus
